this mustek dv3000 is very good. i didnt realise the size of it untill i opened the box, its tiny!! i began to think weather i really wanted it so i tryed it out and it turned out to be amazing. it very good as i can take it any where in a small bag and its very reliable. the picture is quite good, not amazing but good enough for people my age and i am 13. its very handy as it can take pictures as well and is probably smaller than a normally camera. if oyu are not looking for a small video camera then do not get this one or check the size before because it is might small. you dont sctually look into a lense, you just look at the small screen. i was hoping it had some special effects, but i dont think it does, only a night vision thing for camera mode. it is very good connecting it up to my pc and the video images i found were very clear. the camera pictures were not so good. if thinking of getting this, then i would advise you to get a higher mb multimediacard as it comes with a 38mb and that will only record 7 mins of videoing and some pictures. that may be enough but i found it was not.
i would very muchy recommend this produict to any from 12-1, or any age really, but it is very small, so may not suit the elders if you no what i mean. it is very good for what u pay, but if it is 100% quality you are after, then dont go for this product. i hope i have helped yu, i am very happy with my mustek dv3000.

If you only want to purchase a 3.1 million pixel camera then you cant go much wrong with this little gadget,
and it has the extra ability to record video as well, i wasnt expecting too much of quality of video after reading the reviews but its ok in natural daylight, dont expect much more than that as it hasnt got a light, youd probably need a floodlight to do it justice but outside recordings are fine, you only need to keep the screen small to enjoy, the camera use, which is the reason i bought it is very good quality but the same applies with the lighting factor and you have to keep it still very still while taking photos, the only other factor i would sudjest to potential buyers is to get a bigger memory card say 128mb to last 24minutes because the card you get only lasts for 7 minutes in high quality mode and stock up on aa batteries,; it has good software and you can actually use the camera as a portable harddrive, im very pleased with mine.

I bought the Mustek mainly because i wanted a digital camera so i wasnt really bothered about weather or not the video mode was great, But i was surprised when i used the video mode at how good it accutally is. Aslong as you dont jerk it around too much you get a good picture which can be edited on a pc or mac which is great fun if you just want a camera to play with rather than do serious work with.
The digital camera mode that i bought the camera for is great, i havent seen many if any other 3.1MP cameras for the price of this.
Its very easy to connect to a pc and the software that comes with it is good and easy to use, SD or mmc cards are a great storage device because they are so small and lots of other equipment uses them e.g. mp3 players so it saves money to get something which can share cards.
Overall its a great camera, good features, good price, good size (its tiny), good looks.
Only problem is theres no flash but for the price you cant beat it, and the problems of having no flash can be overcome with the night shot mode.
